  I was raised in the church since I was born; walked away at 17 questioning God's presence till 23. I have been walking with God and actively attending (very good churches) for nearly 30 years.
  
  For the last three years I have had the pleasure of attending CCPH.
  
  Pastor Dave Rolph (former Principle of Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa High School) has such wonderful insight and has extracted from the scriptures truths I never heard before in a way never told before! I though I knew it all; all the stories all the meanings, I seriously did not think there was much more to glean...
  
  WOW to my surprise I was way wrong! Dave preaches from NO NOTES, directly from the scriptures. No skipping or cheating the text. Just down to earth breakdown of the word.
  
  My mom and I are spell-bound every time we go.
  
  He's funny, but well versed and has depth that is rare to find these days.
  
  Don't believe me? Listen to some of his pod-casts, or better yet come in and be ministered to.

  Really wanted to go there. Watched an old service where the pastor said OJ Simpson in his opinion was not guilty of murder. Also made other comments about sin that were incorrect. Another Rick Warren pastor that should be shunned. Shame on him and we will not ever attend that church. Bye the way, Simpson was found guilty in the civil trial!

  When Calvary was started, a lot of scripture was put to music so you were not only memorizing scripture, but worshiping Jesus.. truly worship.. with hands lifted high.. When I became part of this, there was not a dry eye in the service.. What has happened.. Time of worship as a body should move you into the Holy of Holies.. Sadly missing in todays worship. It has become a performance.
